I'm That Guy Who Always Finds Bugs in Apps

Hey everyone, I know we all have those days when using an app feels like solving a puzzle instead of getting work done. Well, for me, it’s more than just occasional annoyance, it's my superpower. Last week at the office, while everyone was on their lunch break and trying to catch up with TikTok trends (or so I assume), I stumbled upon a bug that had been there since who knows when. It was a small glitch in our company's internal messaging system where if you used a specific emoji sequence, all notifications would freeze for 15 minutes. I spent the rest of my lunch break testing different combinations to see which exact emojis caused it (it’s like being a detective, except with digital clues). Now, while some might roll their eyes and call me obsessive, I can proudly say that when we finally rolled out a fix this morning, everyone thanked me for making their day less frustrating. It's moments like these that remind me why I chose to be an engineer in the first place, it’s not just about building things but also constantly breaking them down to build them back better.
