New City Blues

I moved here a few weeks ago, and it feels like everyone around me has known each other for years. It's funny because I remember how excited I was about the change, thinking it would be an adventure full of new friends and fresh starts. But every time I walk down Main Street or sit in the coffee shop where all the locals gather, I feel this overwhelming sense of not belonging. They have their inside jokes, their shared history, and now there's me, just trying to find my place. It's like being dropped into a movie halfway through, it's hard to catch up with all the unspoken rules and traditions that everyone seems to take for granted. But you know what? I'm not giving up. Maybe it'll just take time. Maybe one day, when someone introduces me as 'the new person,' they’ll see past the newcomer label and actually get to know me.
