New Hobby? More Like New Problem...

So I started this knitting hobby last week... thought it'd be relaxing, you know? But turns out, my grandmother's old needles are like daggers in my hands. Every time I look at a ball of yarn now, I break into hives... and then proceed to stitch something up just because... It's kind of like my brain and fingers have this weird connection where they both insist on doing things that make no sense whatsoever. So far, all I've made are these wonky-looking scarves that even a cat would reject... I mean, really, who wears a scarf with holes in it? But every time I see someone knitting on the street or in a video, there's this part of me that feels like I'm missing out on something magical. It's frustrating because I want to get good at it... but my hands just won't cooperate. Maybe if I practice enough and don't give up too soon, one day I'll be able to make something someone would actually wear... or maybe not...
