A Painting Incident with My Sister

So there I was, painting away in my studio like a little artist. You know the scene, canvas stretched tight on the easel, paint tubes lined up neatly next to a half-empty glass of water. It's my sanctuary, really. But lately, it feels more like my personal war zone. Anyway, this morning I wake up early, ready to tackle this new landscape piece. The light outside was perfect for capturing those soft pastels of dawn, and I just knew today would be the day everything clicked into place. I walk in with my palette knife and a fresh brush, only to find a certain someone has turned my little sanctuary into an art gallery gone wrong. It's my sister, you know her: always barging in where she isn't wanted. She comes waltzing in like it's no big deal, but then I spot the disaster zone. My brushes are everywhere, some dipped randomly into jars of dried glue and old ink. The worst is when I see a smear across my newest canvas, now ruined beyond repair. I ask her what she thinks she's doing, expecting an apology or maybe even just some kind of acknowledgment that this is wrong. Instead, all she can manage to say is something along the lines of 'Oh, sorry,' before scurrying out like a thief caught in the act. But the damage was already done. So here I am, staring at the mess my sister made and wondering if there's any point in even trying to salvage anything today. Maybe it's just time for me to take down that 'Welcome' sign from outside my door? But seriously though, this is getting out of hand. It's not like I'm going to hold a grudge or anything, she's family after all. Still, next time I might just set up some barriers and put up warning signs around the studio. Anyway, rant over now. Back to trying to figure out how to fix this mess before my nerves wear down completely.
