Tired of the Same Routine

I'm a mom with two kids under five, and yeah, I love them to bits. But sometimes? Ugh, it's like being stuck in Groundhog Day for real. Today was no different, wake up early as usual, get coffee before the noise starts (which is not easy), then rush through breakfast because the cereal box was empty again. Kid number one spills juice on his new shoes, kid number two wants to play with a broken toy that he thinks is just sleepy. And don't even get me started on trying to explain why we can't have a pet dinosaur at home, or how about when I tell them for the hundredth time that they need to brush their teeth? It's like talking to rocks sometimes. But despite all of it, there are those moments when you look over and see them laughing together, or hugging each other, and suddenly, the chaos doesn't matter at all. These little humans have a way of reminding me why I got into this mess in the first place.
