My Pet Snake Slithers in Class

Today during my biology class on reptiles, my pet snake escaped from its terrarium and slithered across the classroom floor. I tried to stay calm and collected, but it was quite a shock for both me and the students. After some quick thinking, I managed to catch the little guy using tongs we had in our supplies cabinet. To maintain order, I told them it was part of an impromptu lesson on snake behavior and handling safety. Now, my classroom is known as 'Snake Room 102', not exactly what I had planned for today's curriculum. How do you all deal with unexpected events during class?
