I Pulled Off the Perfect Prank at Work

So you know that guy in the office who thinks he's Mr. Smartypants? Yeah, the one with the perfect hair and a suit coat that never wrinkles? Let’s call him Tom for simplicity. Well, after years of his constant belittling remarks, I finally decided it was time to show him up once and for all. It started last week when we had this big presentation on Monday. We were brainstorming ideas over the weekend, and everyone seemed pretty stressed about presenting their parts in front of the board. Tom got a little too comfortable and said something along the lines of, “I’ll have my section done by Sunday night.” Of course, he did everything at the last minute as usual. Now, I knew Tom was going to stay late that Friday evening finishing up his work. So, after hours one day, while everyone else had already gone home or were busy doing other things, I slipped a note into the board room where our presentation would be held on Monday morning. The note was made out to look like it came from the CEO and said, “Do not forget your part in tomorrow’s big presentation.” I left Tom's section incomplete on his computer, knowing he'd scramble to finish it last minute. And wouldn't you know it, Monday rolled around, and he showed up with his notes looking all flustered. When we went into the boardroom for our meeting, there was my note sitting right where everyone could see it, making Tom look like an even bigger idiot than usual. The best part? After the presentation, as I walked by his desk, he looked so confused and embarrassed that he practically crumbled into a heap. It felt amazing to finally get one over on him after all these years of being pushed around! And just in case you're wondering, I did feel a little guilty later when I realized how mean it was, but hey, it’s not like I’m the only one who gets a turn at feeling good sometimes.
