Caught But Unrepentant

I'm that teacher everyone knows but won't admit to knowing. Caught slipping snacks into a student's lunchbox because they seemed down and needed some cheering up, I told them it was from the school mascot. I did it again last week when another kid looked sad in class. My colleagues act like I should feel ashamed for breaking rules that seem so silly when you see the smile on a child’s face. They're missing the point, sometimes what matters isn't following the rulebook but making someone's day better.
