When My Teenager Talks Back to Me
Anonymous Cunning Wallflower #831 · General
Last night during dinner, my teenager rolled their eyes at me when I asked about their homework. It's not the first time this has happened. As a parent, it's disheartening to see your child challenge you like that. They've grown so much and have their own opinions now. Is it normal for teenagers to start asserting themselves in such an overt manner? Should I be more lenient or should I address it firmly? What advice do other parents give when dealing with this type of behavior? It's a tricky balance, trying not to overreact while also setting boundaries.
