My Embarrassing Office Prank Gone Wrong

Last week at work, I decided to play a harmless prank on my coworker Sarah. I thought it would be funny to hide her favorite snack in the copy room and leave a note saying she was late for a meeting with our boss. But when she arrived at the office early, she found the empty space where her snacks usually are. She searched everywhere but couldn't find them, so eventually, she just went without having anything during the morning coffee break. It felt like an eternity watching her struggle and me sitting there feeling guilty the whole time. I didn’t know how to tell her it was me until lunch when I finally confessed. Now, everyone knows about my little prank, but Sarah still hasn't spoken to me since. The irony is that she's normally one of the most laid-back people in our department. I'm starting to wonder if playing pranks is just not for me.
