My Work from Home Experiment Went Too Well

So I've been working as a freelance graphic designer for the past two years. It's pretty sweet in some ways, I get to set my own hours and work on projects that really interest me. But there are downsides too, like feeling isolated or getting sucked into doing mundane tasks all day long because no one else is around to bounce ideas off of. Well recently I decided to try something new. Instead of just working from home, I started working in cafes and co-working spaces as well. It was this little experiment to see if a change of scenery could boost my productivity or spark creativity in ways I hadn't thought of yet. Guess what? This new approach is going too well! My work-life balance has been knocked totally off-kilter, and that's the problem now. On one hand, these spaces are incredibly inspiring. The constant hum of conversations gives me ideas, the background noise helps me focus like nothing else can. And when I'm surrounded by other creatives, it feels less lonely to be a freelancer. But the more I embrace this new routine, the harder it is for me to switch off at the end of the day. When I return home from a productive afternoon out and about, my brain is still whirring on ideas and projects. The thought of sitting down and relaxing becomes daunting because there are so many things that feel unfinished or that need more attention. So here's where I am: I've fallen into this pattern of going to cafes just as much for the social interaction and mental stimulation as for the actual work itself, but when I get home at night, it feels impossible to unwind. It seems like my experiment turned a little too good, and now I'm dealing with the downside, this constant state of overstimulation that makes me question if I've bitten off more than I can chew. In case anyone else has found themselves in this strange position of having your freelance life turn out way better than expected but also leave you drained by nightfall, I'd love to hear any advice or stories! For now, though, I'm just feeling a little guilty about enjoying my work too much and struggling with how to balance it all.
