I'm an Asshole Roomie Overreacting About Coffee Mugs

So here’s my dilemma and my confession. I’m a first-year in college living on campus for the first time. I’ve got one roomie, let’s call her Jane (because that’s not suspicious at all). We’re from different parts of the country with wildly different cultures regarding cleanliness and personal space, she keeps everything super tidy, while I’m more relaxed about it. Last week we got some free coffee mugs as part of orientation. I mean, why wouldn’t you accept freebies? But now here’s where things start to get weird. Jane starts leaving her mug in the fridge instead of rinsing and putting it away after use, which is a complete no-go for her normally. I’m trying my best not to be a judgy roommate but honestly, I don’t know how many days we can go on like this without someone losing their mind. I asked if maybe she was sick (cause that’s the polite way to say “do you need help with your coffee addiction?”) and got an annoyed shrug. To make matters worse, one of her mugs is now missing its handle because she left it too close to my door and it fell off during a rush. I could have fixed it but I didn’t want to seem like the person who’s constantly cleaning up after everyone else, because let's be real, that would just turn me into the campus gossip as the roommate with an attitude. So there you have it: me being hyper-sensitive about some coffee mugs in a dorm room. Am I really making such a big deal out of this? Probably. But also maybe not, the whole thing feels pretty significant to me, so here's my little confession for the ages.
