Became Obsessed with Beekeeping - Oops

So I recently started beekeeping, and yeah, it's pretty cool. I mean, who wouldn't want to work with thousands of tiny little creatures that produce honey? It was all fun and games until one day my apartment complex's manager found out. Let me backtrack a bit for context. I moved into this apartment last month because the yard had plenty of space to set up some hives. I didn't think anyone would mind, honestly. How could they when it involves helping bees, which are in so much trouble these days? But there was a big oversight on my part - my lease doesn't mention anything about beekeeping or keeping any sort of animals. So imagine my surprise when the manager comes to me one day with this very serious look and says she needs to talk about 'some issues.' Naturally, I thought it might be noise complaints since I've been playing loud music late at night. Turns out, her complaint wasn't sound-related but rather due to a few residents expressing concern over potential stings and allergies. Now here's the kicker: apparently one of my hives accidentally got knocked over by someone walking their dog in the yard and some bees escaped into nearby bushes, freaking people out quite a bit. I feel bad about this because while it was an accident, my carelessness did contribute to the situation - I should've set up barriers around the hives. I explained everything to her, saying I'd move them away from any high-traffic areas and take precautions going forward. But I can tell she's still not entirely sold on the idea of bees being kept in such a populated area. The funny thing is, right before we started talking about my hives, she mentioned needing to get some flowers planted around the complex for better curb appeal - ironic since that would actually help draw more bees. I really want to keep doing this as a hobby and I know I can make it work with proper care. But now there's a looming sense of dread every time I think about how much paperwork and potential hassle might come from fixing my mistake. Maybe if the complex ends up getting those flowers, everyone will see the bees positively too? Only time will tell.
