I Broke My Roommate's Lamp in the First Week

So I moved into my dorm this semester thinking everything would be hunky-dory. Then came Friday night and I was feeling pretty adventurous with my kitchenware. Next thing, a little too much enthusiasm and... poof! We had an emergency trip to the dollar store for another lamp. My roommate is surprisingly chill about it though. So now we have this weirdly bright one in the corner that feels like an accusation every time I walk by.
