I Started Gardening and Now I'm Obsessed with My Plants

So, I started gardening a few months back. Just something small to start, some pots on my balcony, a couple of tomato plants and some herbs. It was all fun at first, but then things got out of hand fast. I joined these crazy gardening groups online where people share pictures and tips, and before I knew it, I had an entire garden map planned out for spring planting. My budget went from 'cautious' to 'spending everything on seeds and tools.' My friends started making fun of me. They say I'm acting like a plant mommy now. And they're not wrong; I talk to my plants like they can hear me, which is maybe just weird. The real issue came when my roommate's flowers wilted because he forgot to water them. He was in the kitchen eating his breakfast while these poor daisies were dying on our windowsill, and it made me so angry! I ended up giving him a gardening lesson that lasted for hours, and now he feels bad every time he misses a day. I think this confession will sound like I'm an over-the-top plant lover with no life outside of my balcony garden. And maybe that's true! But hey, at least my windowsill is always colorful and full of fresh herbs. If you ask me, it beats scrolling through social media all day.
