Small Lie to Avoid a Meeting

Had an email yesterday asking if I could join another Zoom call for a quick update on the project. It’s not like it was urgent, but you know how these things can go - end up being way longer than needed and take away from actual work time... So I crafted this reply that sounded like my computer had died or something dramatic happened at home last minute. Of course, in reality, I just don’t feel like going through another mind-numbing meeting today... Was it worth lying about to avoid a few hours of boredom? Maybe not the best way to handle things but honestly sometimes you need these little breaks to recharge and not be too burnt out by end of week...
