The Perfect Portrait Lie

So there was this art show at my gallery last week, and one guy kept staring at my painting of the old man from down the street. He asked if it was him because he thought it looked just like his grandpa. I mean, sure why not? It sounded so flattering to think someone would want a portrait of their relative hanging in a gallery. So I said yes, and you should have seen how proud he got about having such an art piece! Of course, it’s just some random dude from the street, but oh well.
