The Secret Spaghetti War...
Anonymous Suspicious Snitch #384 · General
So, there's this kid in my class named Alex who just won't stop bragging about how great he is at everything. I mean, it’s like he literally puts a gold star sticker on his forehead every single day and parades around school thinking everyone should bow down to him. It drives me crazy because we all know he's not really that special... except for one thing: he can't stand spaghetti. You see, in our lunch period, the cafeteria staff decides what food we get based on some kind of random wheel. The worst part? This wheel has a 20% chance of landing on spaghetti each day. And every time it does, Alex's eyes go all big and round like he’s seen a ghost... One day, during recess, I overheard him whispering to his group of friends that they had to eat the school lunch tomorrow or else miss out on some special after-school game... but when I asked my friend Jamie what it was about, she whispered back that Alex had somehow promised them spaghetti-free days if they played his games. I couldn't believe it... I mean, isn’t there more to life than avoiding a food? It just felt so wrong and unfair how he got everyone else to do this for him... So, what happened next was kind of impulsive but really fun... The night before the spaghetti day, me and Jamie snuck into the kitchen and switched all the pasta in the lunch menu with spaghetti. We knew it would be a mess but couldn't resist getting back at Alex just a little bit. The next day, everyone was surprised when they got their lunches to find out that it really was spaghetti... And guess what? Alex freaked out so much he actually skipped playing his game and ended up hanging around in the hallway instead. It was hilarious... I know this isn't exactly a good thing to do, but sometimes you just have to stand up against people like him who try to control everyone else's lives... I feel a bit guilty for pranking him but mostly triumphant that we got back at him and showed him he's not invincible. And now? We're waiting for the spaghetti day again. Maybe next time, Alex will actually eat it without screaming about it like it’s going to kill him... ...
