I Made My Sis Look Like a Clown at Her Own Party

So here's this thing I did last weekend. It was my big sis Emily's birthday party at our place, and everyone was there, friends, family, the whole lot. Mom made her favorite cake, Dad got the best ice cream flavors, everything perfect for a great time... until I had to ruin it. I decided to mess with her look by playing around with makeup while she was in the bathroom getting ready. Figured a bit of extra blush and lipstick would be funny, right? And when she came out, all eyes were on my sister, who looked like she'd been through a clown makeup marathon. It was hilarious at first because no one knew what to say, all laughter and awkward glances. But the truth is, I don't know why I did it. Was it just for laughs? Or am I jealous of how everyone dotes on her? Maybe both? Either way, the prank backfired when people started teasing her about looking 'proud' in her clown face. That's not a feeling anyone should have to deal with at their own party. After that, all I could do was apologize and try to make it better somehow. We didn't talk much for days after. Looking back, it wasn't worth it, but it sure is awkward now when we see each other.
