Just Started Woodworking - Yay! Or Nah?

So I've been dabbling in woodworking for a couple of weeks now. Let's just say I'm still trying to figure out whether it's my thing or not. Yesterday, I decided to make something fancy, a little birdhouse for our garden, but somehow ended up with three doors instead of one. And don't even get me started on the measurements; I must have a tiny brain when it comes to rulers because half of them were way off. By the end, I had about fifty wood splinters in my fingers and was cursing the day I ever picked up that hammer. But you know what? Despite the frustration and my sore hands, there's this weird satisfaction from trying something new, even if I haven't mastered it yet. Maybe next time, a simple keychain or something less 'architecturally complex' will be more my speed.
