...My Messy Desk at Work...

So, I'm this night-shift worker guy who runs the overnight shift for a warehouse. It's super quiet and kind of lonely up there, just me and my thoughts mostly. The place is pretty much empty by 12:00 AM when everyone else leaves and doesn't fill back up until around 6 or 7 in the morning with other workers coming in... Anyway, I've got this big messy desk right at the entrance of our break room where I spend most of my time during the night. It's covered in snacks, papers, old coffee cups from days long gone by, you name it... Messy to a T and honestly kind of disgusting if someone else were to look at it. But that's never happened because no one ever comes into my space after everyone else leaves for the day... Except last week when the maintenance guy came in late night to do some repairs. He walks up to my desk, gives me this weird look, and then proceeds to clean up everything on it while I'm still sitting there working! He just starts throwing away all of my papers, snacks, coffee cups, everything... It was super embarrassing because he's new around here and everyone knows him as the model worker type who never complains. And now every time someone comes in, they give me these weird looks like maybe I'm the one causing trouble or something... But honestly, it's not my fault if the desk isn't tidy at night when no one else is supposed to be there anyway. So yeah, that's my story and it makes me feel a bit better getting it off my chest here...
