A Little Lie Behind the Bar...

I always say I'm on my way to work when really I'm walking home from another shift. My boss doesn't know this yet, but sometimes the bar is just too loud and crowded by the time closing rolls around. I need a quiet place to catch my breath and think for a bit before going home... It's silly, I know, because it's not like the rest of the world stops being chaotic when you're in your apartment... I shouldn't lie, but sometimes this little fib feels like a necessary escape...
