I’m pretty sure the barista crew at my cafe thought I was the new kid on the block last week. After a long, exhausting day, when everyone else was closing up and getting ready to leave, I made what should have been an innocent mistake but turned into a big deal. While restocking the fridge, I accidentally mixed up two types of creamers: half-and-half with coconut milk. I didn’t realize my mistake until an hour or so later when I was heading home and noticed a customer complaining to the manager. The apology felt awkward at best; customers expect their orders to be spot-on, and I really let everyone down that day. I’ve been double-checking everything ever since, hoping to prove myself reliable again without causing more trouble.
