...My Long-Gone Dreams...

I've been sitting in my garden lately...thinking about when I used to dream big. You know, back before life started piling up responsibilities like they were snowflakes on a cold winter's day...Nowadays, all the dreams I have are pretty small-scale...like wishing for another sunny day after weeks of rain. It's not that I'm unhappy or regretful...I just sometimes wonder what would've happened if I had chased those bigger aspirations back then...You see, I had this big plan to travel the world and live in different places every few years...to meet new people and experience different cultures firsthand. But somewhere along the way, all of that got put on hold for a mortgage payment...and another one after that...It's not like I have any regrets really...but there are still moments when you just want to be back at 25, with no commitments holding you down...
