Caught Daydreaming at Work

Today was one of those days when my mind just wouldn't focus on anything but the endless possibilities in my personal life. I was supposed to be charting a patient's progress, but instead, I found myself lost in thoughts about all the amazing things I could do with more free time, learning a new language, hiking in the mountains, even starting that novel I've been thinking about for years. The funny part is, it hit me right when my supervisor was making her rounds and saw me staring off into space. Thankfully, she's got a sense of humor and let it go with just a playful warning to stay sharp! It felt like the entire floor could hear my cheeks turn red.
