I Stole Candy from the Break Room

Hi everyone! So I know this isn't something I'm particularly proud of, but it's been bugging me lately and I feel like sharing. At school, our break room has a big candy jar where teachers leave sweets for students to enjoy. It’s supposed to be an honor system kind of thing, but one day when we were super stressed about finals week, my friend Lily dared me to take some without asking. We were feeling really rebellious and wanted to test the limits just once. I grabbed a big bag of gummies and sneaked it back to our classroom before anyone could see. But ever since then, every time I pass by that candy jar now, I get this knot in my stomach and worry someone will find out. It was a stupid thing to do, but we felt pretty daring at the moment. I guess that’s why people confess things like this, to admit when you've messed up.
