Parenting Is Just One Big Mystery Sometimes...

So my teenagers, they're like these walking mysteries wrapped in sarcastic remarks. They'll come home with stories about school that are half-truths and half-miracles, you know? And I'm here, trying to keep track of their grades, their friends, and whether or not they've seen any of the dogs at lunch... But this week, my oldest refuses to eat unless it's some kind of artisanal toast with avocado. Artisanal! And my youngest won't stop talking about this new band he discovered, but when I ask him for details, he just rolls his eyes and says, 'You wouldn't get it...' So yeah, parenting is one big puzzle where the pieces keep changing before you can put them together... Am I being too paranoid? Is this normal? Anyone else out there feeling like they're stuck in an episode of The Twilight Zone with their kids?
