New Hobby - Painting

Started painting a month ago after my friend suggested it at our weekly game night. She thought I needed something creative to balance out all the logic games we play. Bought some basic supplies online, watched YouTube tutorials on techniques and color mixing. First few paintings were terrible. Used too much water with acrylics, ended up with watery blobs on canvas. Then tried oil paints without proper knowledge of mediums and thinners, got a headache from fumes but couldn't get the colors to blend right. Decided to stick with acrylics after that. Took me weeks to build confidence. Now actually enjoying it. Still not very good at all though.
