I'm the One Who Stole My Roommate's Caffeine Supply

So here’s this: I’m living in a dorm on campus and have a roommate who’s obsessed with caffeine. She drinks multiple cups of coffee every day, plus cans of Red Bull at night. The thing is, we’re supposed to be roommates sharing everything equally, except when it comes to our snack supply. She thinks that because she pays for her caffeine stuff out of pocket, she gets to keep it all to herself. I’m talking about like a hundred dollars’ worth of coffee and energy drinks scattered around the room. It’s not just selfish, it’s annoying. The other day I saw her take the last can of Red Bull and hoard it in our mini fridge without even checking if I needed one too. Plus she’s been leaving those empty cans lying around, which is just disrespectful to everyone else sharing this space. I know what you’re thinking: “Just talk to your roommate.” Yeah, I tried that already. We had a big argument about it the other night and she got super defensive and said I was just being petty because I didn’t want to contribute more money for snacks. Not true, I contribute my fair share, but not everything should be a shared expense. After that conversation, I made my move. When she wasn’t looking, I took half her stash of Red Bull and some of her fancy imported coffee pods (you know, the expensive ones) and hid them in our closet where she wouldn’t find them right away. Now every time she complains about not having caffeine or asks if I’ve seen any missing stuff, I just act clueless. I feel bad for playing this little game with her, but honestly? It’s been so satisfying to see the look on her face when she discovers her stash is depleted. And yeah, maybe I’m taking it too far, but what else am I supposed to do? She won’t budge on sharing anything and seems unwilling to compromise. So there you have it. I’m the one who stole my roommate’s caffeine supply in a fit of frustration and now I get to watch her squirm every time she runs out of coffee. Is this fair, or am I being petty? Maybe both, but it feels like a necessary evil right now.
