i cant stop working past deadlines

so this thing keeps happening and i feel like an asshole but honestly dont care. my client gives me a deadline for something and i just ignore it, do the work whenever feels right to me and send them updates when i finish stuff. its annoying cus they get mad but i just can't deal with those tight deadlines, you know? i get these bursts of inspiration and productivity and when im on fire i dont want anything distracting me from that flow. i also kinda like being my own boss, doing things how i want to do them. i mean, im not outright rude or dismissive - im polite and keep them in the loop about whats happening, but at some point it gets annoying for everyone cus they expect me to stick to schedules and ive gotta explain why its not really my jam. i get that being reliable is important and deadlines are a thing, so yeah i am kinda the asshole here. but honestly dont regret how im doing things - just venting cause it all comes up sometimes.
