Library Theft

I'll never forget the day I took a pencil from the library. It was such an innocent thing, just one measly pencil. But here's the kicker, I've had it for months now and haven't once needed it for anything important. The shame of knowing that I stole even something so small is eating at me. What if someone notices? What will they think of me as a graduate student who can't even resist taking a tiny piece of office supply? This little act feels like it defines my integrity in ways I never thought possible.
