i totally fibbed at the library checkout

hey guys, i just gotta spill on a little white lie that got me out of a jam once. so i had this book due at the uni library and was like really late, probs two weeks overdues. i know it's lame but i kinda panicked thinking about that big fine, and here's what i did: instead of telling them how long it's been, i just went all casual and said it’s only a few days overdue. total fib, i felt so guilty right after doing it but also relieved in the moment when they didn't freak out or give me any hassle. now whenever i go to the library, i can almost hear this book whispering “what if she gets caught” every time i walk past that checkout desk, man. still defiantly think it was worth it though lol.
