The Bug That Broke Me

I’ve been working on this bug for three days now. It’s one of those tricky ones that hides behind a wall of legacy code and only appears when the stars align in just the wrong way. My boss thinks I’m slacking because it took me so long to find something else was causing the issue, but here’s the thing: no matter how much I try, sometimes it feels like I’ll never figure out why things don’t work right. Today, I made a mistake and got caught, which felt like adding insult to injury. My colleague suggested taking a break for a bit, but all I can think about is that bug waiting for me when I return. It’s like there’s this little voice in my head saying, 'You’re not good enough,' every time I look at the code. Sometimes I wonder if anyone truly understands how frustrating and lonely it feels to be stuck.
