I Packed Lunch But Ate It At Work Instead

So last week, I packed my lunch like always, the same old turkey sandwich and an apple. I was already running late for work, but then my car battery died right at home. I was super frustrated, so instead of risking being even later by getting a ride or taking public transit, I just walked to work with that sandwich clutched in my hand. I got there and sat down behind my desk without saying anything. My coworkers were already halfway through their lunch break, but they saw me eating at my desk. I knew the rules, no eating while working, except on official lunch breaks. So I just said it was an emergency and that I would get a proper lunch later. They didn't push back too hard, but I felt kind of guilty after. Not because I did something wrong really, more like getting caught with my hand in the cookie jar makes me feel bad for breaking the rules even if no one got hurt or anything. But hey, I still have that sandwich and apple leftover from later anyway.
