The Day We Drove To School Late

So, last week we had our annual family reunion with the cousins. After that, my grandson was late to school because... well, let me explain. My daughter asked us if we wanted a ride with them but my car was out of gas, so I said yes when really we were running late for an errand. We ended up missing his bus and rushing him to school. He got there fine but now he’s not happy with me. Shouldn’t have lied, right? But it was an honest mistake.
