I Spilled Coffee on My Boss's Laptop

It was around 2 AM when I accidentally knocked over a cup of coffee right onto my boss's brand-new laptop. He had just gotten it and had been showing everyone how amazing it was, boasting about all its features at our weekly meeting the day before. And now there I am, with this huge spill on his shiny screen and the sound of the hard drive sputtering to a halt. My heart sank as he looked up from trying to salvage it, eyes wide in shock and dismay. He's never said anything directly to me about it, but I can tell by how he looks at me that he knows it was my fault. Every time something goes wrong with his laptop or it slows down, I cringe thinking it must be because of the coffee incident. It feels like this big secret hanging over our team meetings.
