A Nurse's Not-So-Secret Secret Drawer

Okay, so here’s my little secret that I’m not entirely proud of. As a nurse, you’d think I’d have better discretion, but let me tell you about the secret drawer in my medicine cabinet at home. It’s filled with every over-the-counter cold and flu remedy I can get my hands on, along with an assortment of vitamins and supplements. The funny thing is, this hoarding behavior didn’t start until after a particularly grueling shift where I ended up catching whatever bug was going around the ER. Now, if you ever find me curled up on my couch with a bottle of NyQuil in hand, just know that it’s not from some exotic tropical virus; it’s probably just regular old seasonal sniffles.
