patient is getting on my nerves

so i work at this hospital and there's this one patient who just drives me up the wall. they've been here for weeks now and it's like every time i turn around, they're asking for something new. first it was ice chips when they were allowed zero fluids... then it went to calling me five times an hour for every little thing. i told them to save their requests til my rounds but noooo. they've been doing this ever since. i mean, sure, everyone needs a bit of extra care now and then but this person is just plain annoying as hell. the other nurses feel it too... we joke about putting an hourly alarm on our phones so we can ignore them for a few mins without getting in trouble. yeah, i know it's unprofessional but honestly? i'm done trying to be all caring and nice. they need to take some initiative instead of treating me like their personal servant.
