Midnight Mishap at Work...

So last night, I was working my usual late shift at the diner when this big group of college kids came in. Normally they'd just order burgers and fries and leave me alone, but this time one of them... let's call him Jake... started making these silly jokes about my uniform being too tight or something. ...I tried to brush it off because I have a zero-tolerance policy for drama at work, but then he threw in some crack about how my hair looked like I'd been wrestling with a cat all night. ...Now, I know he was just trying to be funny and all that, but the way his friends were laughing... well, let's just say it got under my skin more than I thought it would. So what did I do? I made their usual order super spicy. Hot sauce in everything - fries, burgers, shakes... You should have seen the looks on their faces when they took that first bite! They didn't complain too much though, and one of them even thanked me for adding a little more flavor to the menu... Guess my revenge was better left unspoken and undetected. ...But wow, I felt so good about it in that moment.
