The Great Eraser Hoax

I'm Mrs. Johnson, and I think it's time to spill the tea on something that happened last year in my class. You know those moments where you just get so frustrated with your students for always misplacing their erasers? Well, one day during math class, a student complained about not having an eraser for the fifth time that week. This kid was always borrowing from others and never seemed to bring anything back. So I did what any fed-up teacher would do, when my back was turned, I planted an eraser right where this student could easily find it. The look on their face when they discovered it was priceless! But here's the kicker, a few days later another student came up to me all worried that someone might think *they* were the one taking extra stuff from others. It made me laugh and cringe at the same time. I feel guilty about lying to my students, I mean, honesty is part of what we teach, but sometimes you've got to do what it takes to keep the peace in class.
