Today's Milk Mishap

So today was one of those days where everything just goes wrong. I swear it started with the milk. You know how you always have that weird feeling when something is off, but you can't quite put your finger on it? Well, this morning, I woke up and immediately knew there was going to be a disaster at work today. Anyway, as soon as I got to the coffee shop, I noticed we were running low on whole milk. That's okay, right? No big deal. But then I decided, in my infinite wisdom, that it would be better to mix skim and 2% to make up for it instead of just using what was left of the whole milk. Yeah, turns out that's a bad idea. Once we started making drinks with this Frankenstein milk concoction, customers were like 'What is this stuff? It tastes like watered-down soap!' But here's where things get even worse, I had to break the news to my boss later in the day. She looked at me with those eyes that say 'what on earth have you done?' and it was one of those moments where I wanted a hole to open up under my feet so I could just disappear forever. I tried to joke about it, saying something like 'Looks like we're starting a new trend: DIY milk flavors!' But seriously, mixing milk should not be rocket science. Now everyone is talking about me in the coffee shop, and all I can think of is how bad my day turned out because of one stupid decision with the damn milk.
