I'm Annoyingly Excited About My Little Brother's Birthday Party Mishap

So I guess you could say my little brother’s birthday party was a bit of a disaster. But don’t get me wrong, it wasn't because he made any big mistakes; nope, that would have been too boring and normal for me to confess about here. It happened all thanks to the theme: Superheroes! Now, who doesn't love superheroes? My little brother, being the biggest Marvel fan ever, was beyond excited when I told him his party would be a full-blown Avengers-style bash complete with a Hulk cake, Iron Man pinatas, and everyone dressed up as their favorite superhero. He'd been asking for months now about it. So when the day came around, everything looked perfect until... well, until my meddling little brother got in the way of things he knew nothing about. You see, before his friends arrived, my brother insisted on setting up a special 'secret mission' that involved tying balloons to helium tanks (yes, we had those; long story), thinking it would be hilarious to surprise everyone with floating gifts. So I, being the cool big sister and wanting this party to go off without a hitch, said okay... But as soon as his friends started showing up, chaos ensued! Balloons tangled everywhere, some burst, others got away - one even floated out an open window into our neighbor's yard where it caused quite the scene when their dog chased it like a toy. We ended up having to clean up balloons and apologize for hours. Now here’s the best part: all through this mayhem, my brother was still trying to act cool about everything - even taking on 'Captain Balloon Repair' as his superhero identity while fixing them with scotch tape and rubber bands. Of course, we had a lot of laughs over it too once things calmed down. But now I’m torn: am I the asshole for being a bit lax in overseeing all this? Or is it totally fine to just go along with your little brother's wild schemes because he loves them so much? I mean, his friends seemed like they had fun anyway. So tell me what you think! Should I have been more strict or let things run their course?
