The Great Paper Airplane Disaster

So I had this idea. In science class yesterday, we were supposed to do the regular experiment on how different wing shapes affect flight speed and distance. But you know me, I get bored with those kinds of experiments because they're always so predictable. So instead, I decided to make a paper airplane using all sorts of random shapes and angles that no one had ever tried before. Yeah, I thought it would be like some kind of genius stroke or something. The funny part is, I spent the entire period folding this crazy contraption, barely even paying attention when Mr. Thompson explained how to set up the experiment properly. So here's where things get complicated. When it was my turn to test out my plane, I threw it across the room, and you know what happened next? It flew straight into Sarah's hair and got all tangled up! She freaked out because there were little bits of paper everywhere in her ponytail and she had to sit through the rest of class with that weird thing stuck in her hair. And then guess who ended up getting detention for 'causing a disruption'? Now, I'm not really sure why this happened or what was even going on inside my head when I decided to do this. Was it just boredom? Or maybe I wanted attention somehow? But the bigger question is, did anyone else notice that my plane actually didn't fly all that well compared to everyone else's? Maybe I should have stuck with the original experiment...
