The Case of the Disappearing Coffee Supplies

So, I work at this big corporate office downtown where everyone pretends to be super productive all day long. But let's face it, most people just shuffle papers around and get coffee refills more than they actually do anything important. And you know what? My coworkers have this weird habit of draining the communal coffee supplies every single morning as if someone had warned them there was a massive coffee shortage coming soon (there isn't). So, I finally hit my breaking point on Monday last week when I got to work at 7 AM sharp only to find an almost empty pot. There was barely enough for even one cup! Come on now, it's 7:00 in the morning and people have been here since 6, all with freshly filled coffee cups. How can they possibly finish that much caffeine before I get there? It's like a silent competition to see who can drain the pot first without me noticing. But then Tuesday happened. Aha! The moment of truth struck at precisely 7:03 AM when I walked in and found not one, but two almost-empty coffee pots sitting next to each other on the counter. Yes, someone had made a fresh batch...and then immediately drank it all up too. Well, that was just too much for me to handle quietly anymore. So here's my confession: On Monday, I went into stealth mode and brought in extra supplies from home - one big bag of coffee beans and enough sugar packets and creamers for a small army (I stocked the fridge with milk too). The idea? To outmaneuver them. Now every morning before anyone else gets to work, I make sure that pot is brimming over with fresh coffee again by adding in some extra stuff from my secret stash. It feels so good! Every time someone comes in looking all smug and expects an empty pot, they find it full instead. It’s like having this daily victory against the coffee thieves without them even knowing. If you think I’m being petty, well yeah, maybe a little bit. But seriously? They were asking for it.
