I Pulled a Prank on Myself

So today at work, I was feeling pretty bored and decided to pull a prank. I hid my phone in the coffee machine's control panel area, thinking it would be funny when I couldn't find it later. But then, I accidentally spilled water while cleaning and my phone got ruined! Now I have no idea how I'm going to pay for a new one or explain this mess at work. Why did I think hiding my own stuff was a good idea? Analyzing it now, it seems so silly.
