Forgot My Parents' Anniversary Again

So I did something really stupid last night. I forgot my parents' anniversary. Yeah, again. This is like the third year in a row now. It's not that I don't care; I just get so caught up with everything here at college and stuff. So I was scrolling through social media aimlessly when this post from some aunt pops up with all these grand photos of her dinner party, which totally reminded me it was my parents' anniversary. And then I had to make something up quick because my mom messaged me right after asking how the day went for me. What did I say? Something like 'Oh, yeah, I saw this great art exhibit and we all took photos there!' It's not even that far off from what I would usually do with friends, but still, totally lying to cover up my negligence. I mean, honestly, how hard is it to set a reminder or something? Oh, right. Because my phone always has like 40 different notifications for every app and I never actually look at them. But hey, maybe next year I'll remember, but probably not without setting an actual alarm with loud sound effects that play once an hour. Anyway, mom mentioned they're thinking about going to some fancy restaurant tonight, so now I feel really bad. Maybe after finals, I should surprise them somehow? Like maybe make a little scrapbook or something... Now my mind is all over the place.
