New Hobby Mishap

So I recently started getting into painting as a hobby. It's been fun learning all the techniques and experimenting with color palettes, but here’s where it gets messy (literally). One day, after being frustrated that my paintbrushes kept dropping while I was working on a piece, I decided to get creative. Instead of using a simple stand or clip for my brushes like every painting tutorial suggests, I hung them from a nail right above the sink in our bathroom - genius, right? Well, apparently not so much. My sister came home early from school and needed to use the bathroom urgently. Let’s just say she didn’t appreciate finding her way through a small waterfall of paint while trying to get ready for bed. I cleaned up as fast as possible, but it was too late; my art supplies were now all over the floor mixed with who knows what kind of yucky stuff from the toilet bowl area. My sister hasn't spoken to me since and mom’s been giving me a look that could probably melt steel. Now I’m left wondering if trying to be ‘clever’ was really worth losing bathroom privileges for an undetermined time. At least my painting project is done, but it feels like it came at too high of a price...
