When My Inner Child Takes Over at Work

So here I am in my 50s, and lately I've been sneaking in some of my guilty pleasures during work hours. Every day after lunch, when the team meeting ends and everyone's scattered around, I sneak off to my office supply closet. Yes, you heard me right, a supply closet! It might sound weird or childish, but there’s this collection of colorful stickers, sparkly pens, and neon highlighters that I absolutely love. I swear, every time I use one, it feels like the day just got brighter, even if all I’m doing is marking up old reports or coloring in margins for no real reason. But here's the thing: I know it sounds silly. I'm not some teenager anymore, but sometimes when work gets dull and repetitive, these little treats give me this unexpected burst of creativity and joy. So my question to you all is, does anyone else do something similar? Am I just a weirdo, or are there others out there who sneak in their own quirky indulgences during work time? It’s like my inner child hasn’t left the building despite turning 50!
