Grandma's Secret Love of Pop Culture

I'll admit it, I've got a bit of a soft spot for pop culture. I find myself glued to the TV every Friday night for those silly dance competitions, and streaming entire seasons of that superhero show just because my grandkids rave about them doesn't seem so bad either. But is it really okay for someone in their 70s to spend hours on end following these trendy shows? My kids say I'm embarrassing myself, but they don't understand the joy this brings me. Can anyone tell me if there's something wrong with being proud of my ability to stay current despite my age?
