Caught Napping at School...

So this might sound super silly but I have to confess something that happened in my classroom last week. I was leading an after-school club for some of the cutest second graders ever, and we had just finished a long session working on their reading skills. These kids are so full of energy and they wore me out more than they would realize! So anyway...I thought everyone had gone home when I noticed one little girl still there. She was gathering her things at her desk, and I couldn't bear the thought of saying goodbye to my afternoon nap opportunity...so guess what? I snuck over to a quiet corner in my classroom and just...dozed off for about 15 minutes or so. When she finally left and I woke up, everything felt refreshed but also slightly guilty because it was definitely not on the job description...I'll be more careful next time, I promise! 🌙
